Born in Brooklyn NY, Daniel Ortiz moved to Florida when he was seven years old. He has lived in the Tampa Bay Area ever since and has come to love everything about Florida, particularly the weather and the beaches. Daniel is a graduate of the University of South Florida where he majored in Communication. While in school, he was an active member of the USF Latin Dance Club and was the club’s marketing director for two years.

Daniel is passionate about Latin dancing and continues to be an active member of both his former student organization and the Tampa salsa community. Aside from dancing, he is also a passionate animal lover, a huge Star Wars fan, as well as a military aviation enthusiast.

One of his favorite pastimes is going to both the MacDill Airfest and the Lakeland Sun N’ Fun Airshows every year, but whenever there is an opportunity to see vintage or modern warbirds you can be sure he’ll be there.
