“Robert Russ is a Tampa native who went to Tampa Bay Tech and Chamberlain High School. He served in the United States Navy from October 2003 through July 2014. Robert served in Yokosuka, Japan; Mayport, FL; Kabul, Afghanistan; Tampa, FL; and Doha, Qatar. He started with the Clerk’s Office on October 13, 2014 in Official Records as an Office Assistant II.
In August 2015, he was promoted to Court Clerk II in Child Support within the Customer Service Center. Robert earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Strayer University while working full-time in 2016. While in Child Support I, he crossed-trained and learned the Traffic, Criminal and Family Law front counter functions and then transitioned to a Criminal Front Counter Clerk. In March 2018, he was promoted to Supervisor within the Customer Service Center and was also accepted into the CPM program. In February 2019, Robert was promoted to a Manager in the Customer Service Center where he later earned his certification in CPM. Robert transitioned to the Civil Court Processing Center in May of 2022.
On July 25, 2022, Robert was promoted to Director of Community Engagement and DEI. His role includes bringing the Clerk’s Office to those in the community who can’t travel to one of our office locations.”
