Kamlesh Darji, President of Greenroots Nutrition Joins Board of Advisors at Everglades University

Kamlesh Darji, President of Greenroots Nutrition, has been invited to join Everglades University’s Alternative Medicine Advisory Board, also called Program Advisory Committee (PAC). Greenroots Nutrition is a wellness café concept with healthy menus and wellness solutions. It also stocks a various vitamins, minerals, herbs and sports nutrition products for the beginners to seasoned athletes.

Kamlesh first became involved in the Everglades University Alternative Medicine Advisory Board through an invitation from Associate Dean Abby Hamilton-Kind. As a part of the Alternative Medicine Advisory Board, Kamlesh’s role will be to offer valuable feedback during meetings as a source for program improvements. The next meeting will take place on Thursday, July 14. At this gathering, Everglades University will share an in-depth presentation of Everglades University’s academic information. Based on the information, Kamlesh will provide input on the current significance of the teachings within the university’s alternative medicine program

Kamlesh plans on utilizing his knowledge and experience of health and nutrition to assist in enhancing the university’s program. With that being said, President of Greenroots, Kamlesh Darji states,

“This new Advisory Board addresses the need for constructing courses based on the real world needs rather than just theory.”

He continues to describe the prevalence of this concept throughout time by further explaining,

“Alternative or complementary medicine has a long-standing history and been used for generations with great success. For example, my mother also told me to use turmeric as an antibiotic and today science is corroborating the effectiveness of these protocols. As President of Greenroots Nutrition, I am happy to work with the Board to evaluate and see ways in which to bring greater prominence to this practice and I am delighted and honored to serve on the board at Everglades University.”
