Each month, the Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) awards a state of Florida business with the Triple E Award. It is a business’s energy efficiency efforts that help garner it each a nomination and an award. We are excited to announce that Elevate, Inc. client, Hakeem Investments, has been named as the August 2017 recipient of the FPSC’s Triple E Award. Tampa Electric Company (TECO) nominated Hakeem Investments because of the organization’s verifiable commitment to energy saving.
Each day, the FPSC works to carry out its mission of facilitating the efficient provision of safe and reliable utility services at fair prices. Dating back to 1980, the FPSC has grown increasingly active in cutting the state’s peak electric demands and energy consumption. That year, the Florida Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (FEECA) was created, and conservation goals are revised for each utility every five years. TECO is one of seven utilities subject to FEECA.
Around the Tampa Bay area, people are looking to do business with organizations that demonstrate a commitment to our environment. Hakeem Investments has demonstrated such a commitment, and they are prepared to help Bay Area businesses set up shop in energy efficient properties. Some data point to increased employee productivity when workspaces are improved to be more energy efficient by, for example, installing SageGlass. Energy efficient upgrades do more than reduce energy costs. They can also boost employees’ wellbeing and on-the-job activity. While Hakeem Investments can indeed place your organization in already-energy-efficient properties, team members can also guide you through the process of reconfiguring existing layouts so that your team’s productivity is positively impacted.
It’s noteworthy that, by 2020, the US Department of Energy will require that more energy efficient bulbs be manufactured. Placing more energy efficient light bulbs in your office space is but one way to save significant amounts of money and cut energy needs. The team at Hakeem Investments leads by example; they are prepared to share their energy saving insights with you while they simultaneously facilitate the office-space-search process. Though many of us might be conscientious of energy consumption and efficiency in our homes, that awareness must extend into our workspaces.
We are proud to be partnered with an organization, like Hakeem Investments, that demonstrates it cares about more than the bottom line and closing the next deal. Demonstrating a commitment to the environment is an important part of the footprint a business leaves behind. Join us in congratulating Hakeem Investments for their leadership, in Tampa Bay, in both business and energy efficiency achievements.
