In 2019 The Ring was the only coworking facility in state of Florida selected to partake in the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Phase 3 “CogFx Study.” The scientific study evaluated the relationship between building performance, cognitive function and productivity. Through the use of smart sensors and participant surveys, key factors influencing human health and productivity in the built environment were observed. Results from the study released in September of 2021 showed that “increased concentrations of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and lower ventilation rates (measured using carbon dioxide (CO2) levels as a proxy) were associated with slower response times and reduced accuracy on a series of cognitive tests.” With a strong focus on creating a maintaining a healthy work environment, The Ring’s workspace features natural light, clean air quality, sustainable materials and biophilic elements to elevate occupants’ mood and stimulate connections with nature.
