Andrew Fox: Focused on Team. Focused on Clients.

Focus Property prides itself on its team. An important part of that team is Andrew Fox. A Jacksonville native, Andrew moved to Tampa, in 2013, to attend USF. There, he majored in marketing; in 2016, he came across an opportunity to work with Focus Property. “It was supposed to be a two month internship but, when it wrapped up, they asked if I wanted to stay on for another semester,” recounted Andrew. He stayed with Focus, working part time while finishing classes. As graduation neared, they offered him a full time position.

Originally, Andrew wasn’t drawn to Focus for any particular reason: “I didn’t even have an inclination that I wanted to work in the real estate industry.” As he grew into his role, he realized how much he enjoyed it. “The things that resonated most with me were the analytical parts of the job and the opportunities to work with brands and franchise groups entering the market.” Andrew explained that he spends time gathering and analyzing data that is instrumental in clients’ decision making. Working with clients on market entry, he appreciates being involved in the first phase of clients’ plans: “I enjoy helping clients decide how they want to move their brand forward—it’s an intriguing process.” These parts of his role contributed to Andrew’s realization that he wants to build a career in the real estate industry.

The 23-year-old is thankful for the opportunities Focus has afforded him: “Despite my lack of experience, Focus offered and continues offering opportunities for ongoing learning and development. It’s incredible to be 23 and have the trust they put in me. It gives me a strong sense of loyalty.” Andrew is grateful for how Focus president, Brandy, has taken him under her wings: “She teaches me a lot about the industry and helps me improve my performance by making sure I’m on point with industry knowledge and trends.”

The Focus team is actually what keeps Andrew motivated: “I want to wake up and go to work because of the team we have. Everyone gels. It’s just a fun place to work.”

Andrew believes the team is so effective because they have shared goals: “We all want to make sure we deliver the best product and experience to our clients.” Their shared mindset enables them to provide clients with the best possible service. “We’re all selfless, and people know we approach each client and project as a team because that’s how we efficiently cross the finish line and deliver a higher quality product.” The team has learned to capitalize on each person’s role and skills set so that everyone, including clients, wins. Andrew is further fulfilled by moving through all phases of the real estate process with Focus clients: “I see them as milestones, and it’s great to see daily progress. I can see our work getting us closer to the finish line and, eventually, see everything come to fruition.”

Andrew appreciates the challenging aspects of his position: “The real estate industry is so active and saturated with brands and new developments. Filtering through everything to see what’s going to set our clients up for success is challenging, but I enjoy it.” Andrew and the Focus team do their due diligence so that they provide clients with the best advice possible: “We help clients move forward with their business as if it was our own.” Focus values repeat clients and working with the same brands, so the team is intentional in sharing the workload it takes to research everything available to them: “We are not going to show every available commercial site just because it’s available.” Focus’ team approach undoubtedly helps the organization successfully navigate challenges.

Andrew Fox will, no doubt, continue his trajectory to success in the real estate industry. He’s quickly developed into a capable Licensed Real Estate Associate who’s beyond proficient at market intelligence and data gathering for Focus clients. His marketing skills get plenty of use, too, as he coordinates for both special events and social media. Andrew and the entire Focus team are prepared to help the Tampa Bay area experience what it’s like to have premier real estate solutions.
