Vendita and IBM: Together at Oracle OpenWorld 2017

When partnering with tech giants such as Oracle and IBM, the team at Vendita knows it’s important to be involved, which is why Vendita was once again a part of Oracle OpenWorld 2017.

The event which took place last month in San Francisco and is an annual convention held in San Francisco by Oracle for IT management and professionals, as well as business leaders. It serves as the largest conference for Oracle customers, and Vendita has been in attendance for many years to showcase their Oracle expertise and their own IT solution offerings, including Vendita Database Cloud Server.

This year the team showcased their Master Automation Sequencer (MAS) software, providing guests with demos, videos and plenty of opportunities to interact with the software through an IOS app.

Also, special and new this year, Vendita was invited to exhibit with IBM in their booth to showcase both MAS and the Database Cloud Server (DCS) – an offering that utilizes the MAS software to rapidly provision and manage Oracle Database on IBM Power Systems™. The team was able to help with demonstrations and present to audiences, as well as the Vendita MAS offering for IBM Power Systems™.

Being invited into the IBM booth was a huge step forward for Vendita, not only as a company, but as an IBM Business Partner. The Vendita team noted how being there allowed them to show the strength of their alliance with IBM by working shoulder to shoulder with those who they’ve been working with remotely throughout the Vendita DCS and MAS development process. The opportunity to present in the IBM booth was also a great way to grow exposure for the Vendita MAS software.

The MAS software was a hit at the exhibition, as it demonstrated how – with a rapid way to deploy and an automated way to manage Oracle Database (and other opensource databases) on IBM Power Systems™ – it is easy to achieve less expensive, more efficient, and easier to maintain IT environments. The MAS software also allows for flexibility in a secure IT environment, similar to how a cloud would operate.

The team at Vendita plans to attend Oracle OpenWorld again next year. They are excited at the prospect of exhibiting with IBM in their booth, again, to further showcase the alliance between Vendita and IBM. It’s a way to generate meaningful conversation about the ways in which Vendita offerings can benefit IBM servers.
