Team Versèa Steps Up!
Versea

On Saturday, September 17th the team of Versèa impacted the community in a positive way.

The Transformation Network Family and Community Engagement department is accountable for overseeing 45 Transformation schools throughout the school district. Every Transformation school is a Title 1 school that serves student populations where 92% or more of the families live in poverty.

Many students who attend Transformation schools need every day necessities (socks, undershirts, bras, panties, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products). Many do not have the ability to clean their clothes at home nor afford laundry facilities. Unclean clothing carries bacteria along the body which has been shown to cause infections. One of our priorities this school year is to promote a healthy lifestyle to reduce preventable health conditions. Starting with cleanliness and basic needs will be a great start to meeting our goal.

Some other services that were offered at this event were HIV testing, showers, clothes, groceries, disinfectant and cleaning supplies, job interviews, FL DMV for lic and registration. There was over 2000 families that we assisted on Saturday and Versea graciously donated hygiene kits.

We are proud of Versèa for being involved in the community and images of the event can be viewed below.
