Tax Day Insights: Nancy Millan Addresses Ybor City Rotary

On Tax Day, Nancy C. Millan, Hillsborough County Tax Collector, joined the Ybor City Rotary Club to share key updates, innovations, and forward-looking initiatives shaping the future of tax collector services in our community.

Millan, who made history as the first female and Hispanic Tax Collector in Hillsborough County, continues to lead with a strong focus on accessibility, efficiency, and customer experience for more than 1.5 million residents served by her office.

During her presentation, Millan highlighted several service delivery improvements, reflecting her office’s mission to “deliver amazing service experiences” while meeting residents where they are.

A major highlight was the upcoming launch of the MILES Bus, a mobile service center designed to expand access to critical services including registration renewals, titles, and driver license and ID services. This initiative builds the office’s commitment to innovation and accessibility, especially for underserved areas.  Millan also highlighted new offices coming to MacDill AFB next month and the Northdale area in 2027.

Millan provided legislative updates, covering topics such as property tax reform, registration changes, and driver license policies, ensuring local leaders remain informed on issues impacting residents and businesses alike.

The Ybor City Rotary audience gained valuable insight into how the Tax Collector’s Office is evolving beyond traditional expectations, focusing not only on efficiency, but also on community engagement and forward-thinking service delivery.
