Support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay as they get ready for the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic!

As usual the Expo connected to the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic weekend will be held downtown at the Tampa Convention Center, and BBBSTB is being asked to provide volunteers to distribute race shirts, help with gear check-in and post-race results. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay is one of 3 Heritage Charities that are beneficiaries of the annual race weekend, and could definitely use your help volunteering, sharing this email (with colleagues, friends/family, posting on your socials etc.) and spreading the word in support of their mission to Defend the Potential of our Youth in our local communities.

 BBBSTB needs volunteers for Friday Feb. 23rd, Saturday Feb. 24th and Sunday Feb. 25th.

They will have two T-Shirt Pickup shifts on Friday from 9:30am-3:00pm and 2:30pm-8pm.  On Saturday they will have two T-Shirt Pickup shifts from 5:30am-11am and 10:30am-3pm.  BBBSTB will also have one Gear Check-In shift on Sat. from 5am-11:30am and one Post Race Results shift on Sat. from 8:30am-1pm.  On Sunday they will have one Gear Check-In shift from 4am-10:30am and one Post Race Results shift from 8:30am-1pm.

*T-Shirt Pickup and Gear Check-In volunteers will be inside the Tampa Convention Center.

*Post Race Results volunteers will be outside at Toni Jannis Park located just over the bridge from the Tampa Convention Center across from Publix.

 Registration for your shift(s) is all online. See attached flyer with instructions.  Please make sure to use the code: BBBS2024 when you register.  Although BBBSTB is looking for a lot of volunteers this year, shifts will start filling up quickly so we encourage you to sign up early to get your preferred time slot. If you want to work with or near a specific person, please sign up together for the same shift online.  If you have a co-worker, friend or family member (13 years or older and must be accompanied by an adult if under 18) who would like to work with you, please share this registration information with them and make sure you sign up for the same shift(s).
