Socially Funded Runs Silent Auction at Centre Club’s Helping Hands Happy Hour: Tampa Interbay Rotary

This would not be the first time Zach Abel of Socially Funded has worked a successful Helping Hands Happy Hour at the Centre Club. Helping Hands Happy Hour (Or, known as #HHHH to the online community) is a networking event held by the Centre Club every fourth Tuesday of the month to help bring awareness to non-profits of Tampa Bay. To enter, a minimum of $10 will go directly to the charity, and will grant you a drink ticket and a spread of tasty appetizers provided by the Club. #HelpingOurCity could not be made easier, and on top of that, you will make a ton of new connections.

The last #HHHH team Elevate attended with our new client Socially Funded, was to support the Tampa Interbay Rotary. The Tampa Interbay Rotary Club, located in South Tampa, is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace throughout the world. The Rotary motto is “Serice Above Self.” We were fortunate enough to meet the President of the Tampa Rotary Club, Rob Kraemer, who gave an in-depth presentation about what exactly the Rotary does and its impact on the Tampa community and worldwide. He certainly made a compelling case for all of us to join the club.

To boost the Rotary’s efforts, Zach had a gorgeous display of auction items on long tables nearly covering the entire back wall of the room. The auction items included pop culture collectables, local sports tickets and signed sports memorabilia, and some stunning jewelry pieces. As people started entering the room and got their drinks and something to eat, people started swarming the auction tables and conversing over the pieces they were interested in. The auction items served as a conversation piece for those making connections and meeting new people, and of course, served as a way to boost donations for the noble charity significantly. All in all, it was another very successful Helping Hands Happy Hour by the Centre Club. We hope to see you at the next one!
