Zach Abel, CEO and Founder of Socially Funded, has been selected to run the auction at the 71st annual A/TA Tony Jannus Chapter Air Force Ball, which is being held September 15th 2018 at the Hilton in Downtown Tampa. The Air Force Ball in Tampa is one of the Air Force’s largest Balls. That being said, in order to ensure the event is a success it will require a minimum of 1,000 Airmen including their families, friends, and volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to either help ticketing/seating, decorations, among other crucial responsibilities. That being said, Socially Funded’s role will also be crucial in raising money for the event which contributes to the event’s success. Abel’s careful strategy in choosing auction items for this specific crowd will ensure that attendee’s will be reaching for their pocket books. His auction items will include local tickets and experiences such as The Tampa Lowry Zoo and Florida Aquarium, historical memorabilia from WWII and 9/11, signed Tampa Bay Lightning items and, of course, costume jewelry and baskets with wine and liquor for the ladies. Abel’s goal is to not only raise money, but to ensure that all attendees have fun and go home happy.
The Air Force Ball begins with a cocktail hour at 5:00pm followed by the dinner and main event at 6:30pm. As a particularly formal event, uniform is mandatory for officers and optional for enlisted, or semi-formal dress. Civilians are required to wear formal attire, with tuxedo being desired, business suit acceptable. The event will include key note speaker General Charles Holland who served as Commander, Headquarters U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base. The Civilian Master of Ceremony will be Ms. Jennifer Holloway who has a diverse career in news broadcasting and commercials and is very active in a variety of charities in Tampa. The prestigious event will be sponsored by Tampa General Hospital, Extravaganza Productions Incorporated (EPI), Ihop, McNichols, Taco Bell, USAA, Barefoot, TECO Energy, Uniform Nametape and Nothing Bundt Cakes. Of course, there are also table sponsors including Boeing, South Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Memorial Hospital of Tampa, Riverside Recovery, Presenting Powerfully by Debbie Lundberg and Tampa Steel Erecting Co.
