Pilot Bank Welcomes New SBA Director Javier Jorge

Pilot Bank is excited to announce Javier Jorge will be joining their team as the new SBA Director! Jorge will be in charge of government guaranteed financing for all Pilot Bank locations, helping small businesses gain access to capital.

Born in Miami and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida has always been home to Jorge. After attending the University of South Florida to study Finance, he went on to earn his MBA from the same University. He gained his experience with First Green Bank, which was ranked the #1 community lender in their North Florida district in 2017. He currently lives in Miami, along with his wife and 6-year-old son, and is excited to begin his new position with Pilot Bank.

“I have the best job in banking.  I get to work with the small businesses in our communities and learn about their trade.  Their passion and dedication is inspiring.  I am honored to help them access capital to grow”, says Jorge.

The SBA, or Small Business Administration, helps small businesses get funding for their business. Small businesses are eligible for these loans for a multitude of businesses purposes, from expanding their business to buying another out. Guaranteed by the federal agency, Pilot Bank is able to offer them with low interest rates and flexible terms. While requirements do vary, businesses can typically qualify for an SBA loan if they have been in businesses for at least two years, have a good credit score and have more than $100,000 in annual revenue. SBA loans are a fantastic way for small businesses to get the funds they need at a low risk.
