img_20161213_154012It is a distinct honor to announce that Michelle Royal has been accepted into Leadership St. Pete (LSP) Class of 2017. Michelle Royal founded RIDG (Royal Innovation Design Group) in 2013 after years of working throughout the world in the field of innovation. RIDG is a strategic consulting firm whose mission is to build better innovators and solve complex problems for companies around the world.

LSP maintains a highly revered reputation as one of the oldest leadership programs in America. The program is a division of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and it is an affiliated 501(c)(3) Foundation. The LSP Planning Committee spends six months working with a local non-profit to affect the overall impact, scalability and legacy of community services by securing sponsorships and determining the overall goals.

The mission of LSP is to handpick and develop leaders that represent the diversity of the St Petersburg community and will endeavor future leadership roles within the Chamber as well as other community organizations.

“This year’s class is comprised of a diverse group of individuals who are eager to learn more about St. Petersburg and through their class project leave a lasting impact on our community. Members of the Class of 2017 can look forward to a series of new experiences that will embrace all the unique opportunities that LSP and St. Petersburg has to offer.” – Class Chair of LSP, Paul Stellrecht

Leadership St. Pete prides itself on providing a vibrant, concentrated, and interactive six-month experience to all participants. The program is designed to promote and enhance community leadership through an in-depth introduction to social, economic, business and political issues within the St. Petersburg area.

This opportunity challenges class members to look at both problems as well as decision-making processes at a community, state and nationwide level. Class members meet with various community leaders and thus, become incredibly involved in the St Petersburg community. All class members will constantly collaborate with one another throughout the program for assorted projects including a major project, which benefits a local nonprofit, as well as planning their own seminar.

Leadership St Pete offers a challenging and gratifying opportunity for many community business leaders to work together and become more interconnected with the St. Petersburg community.

“It is a great honor to both be invited to apply and then further to be accepted into LSP. I am grateful to join the distinguished classmates in this journey. As a St. Pete resident, growing the RIDG business here is our #1 priority. Being a part of LSP means we can meaningfully embed ourselves into the civic infrastructure while providing valuable contributions towards innovating the place we live, work and play. This is going to be an unforgettable experience.” – Michelle Royal, RIDG CEO
