Mexican Restaurant, O Cocina and Flights, Opens in South Tampa

This past April, a new upscale Mexican Food and Cocktail restaurant opened up off of Henderson Boulevard. The owner is a South Tampa native named Bear Galavis. The O Cocina and Flights Mexican Restaurant has taken over the spot Papa Louis Pizza House occupied and is bringing brand new, fresh cuisine. One of the key construction developers in the project was EWI Construction, the general contracting and construction management firm based out of Ybor.

The new restaurant offers “sophisticated, fresh and vibrant Mexican cuisine accompanied by a refined and upbeat surrounding” according to the company’s Facebook page which already has over 950 likes.

EWI Construction is excited about the project. “EWI Construction couldn’t be happier to have worked on such a great project. We love the creativity and design that has gone into creating the restaurant” says Casey Ellison, CEO of EWI Construction.
