Coach Bob and his HCPA staff have just wound up three days of hosting the Property Appraisers Association of Florida’s 2024 Mid-Winter Conference in historic Ybor City. Staged at the recently opened Haya Hotel on 7th Avenue, the conference offered great opportunities to share information between the state’s property appraisers, as well as gather the latest news and information regarding cyber security, pending or new state legislation impacting property assessment, as well as state public information regulations. A very special speaker was developer Darryl Shaw, who has exciting developments underway in Ybor City, including the Gas Worx project, which is an office building and a 127-unit apartment complex, and Ybor Harbor, a 33-acre mixed-use district would include up to 2,586 residences, plus waterfront offices, hotels and retail.
