Easy Living On Reynolds Plantation

Easy Living with Technology is completing its final touches on a Smart Home located at Reynolds Plantation in Georgia. Easy Living with Technology, LLC was established in 1988 and maintains the reputation as expert Designers and Installers of Integrated Electronic Systems in home entertainment, home automation, and home security in Tampa & St. Petersburg. Easy Living with Technology prides itself on the creation of easy-to-operate homes that allows the entire house to a source of the utmost entertainment and convenience.

Mike Stram, President at Easy Living, worked with the owners and the builder from beginning to end during the conception of floor plans in order to decide the size and location of the Home Cinema. Easy Living also helped to make judgments of the implementation of its Trademarked Technology Closet®. Mike Stram of Easy Living acted the owner’s technology consultants as well as lighting consultants. This included art lighting, task lighting, general lightening, what cables to use, all wiring, the location of the TV and displays as well as specking the security systems and devices.

This project at Reynolds Plantation has been in the works for a year and quarter and the home is a total of 8500 square feet. This is roughly a $2.5-$3M home with the project including the theatre, electronics, etc. totaling to approximately $900K. The cinema alone is worth $600K with the remainder attributed to the automation of the home as well as the electronics.

The automation for this state-of-the-art smart-home is through Savant, a major player within the electronics industry. Savant utilizes cutting-edge technology such as an app and its remote, which incorporates a voice activation feature allowing for voice commands making it extremely simple and convenient to use. All of the lighting needs for the project were provided by LumaStream LED Lighting System, which is controlled by Vantage Lighting Automation.

The Home Cinema utilizes a video system comprised of a Sony, top of the line, 4K model 5000 laser light video projector and custom Stewart filmscreen 215 inch diagonal VistaScope video screen with motorized masking panels. The theater also features a Kaleidoscope digital 4K-movie server with on-screen graphics and user interface. The audio is out of this world, which is provided by JBL Synthesis Atlas 16-Channel THX Certified Sound System.

Easy Living with Technology designed and conceptualized all Electronics, Home Cinema, Home Automation, and Lighting System – essentially everything with a wire! The home cinema was entirely Mike Stram’s design & build (turn-key project) while also providing electronics and interior build-out, which included all mahogany millwork, a fiber-optic starfield ceiling LED lighting, carpeting, as well as top-line seating (made in Germany). Additionally, Easy Living with Technology worked in collaboration with other companies such as Buechler Custom Homes and Alicia Mooney Interiors.
