Champa Bay Sports, Tampa’s First Community as a Brand Pop Up Shop

Tampa lifestyle brand Champa Bay Sports was recently a vendor at Camp’s 5-year anniversary celebration on September 9th. The event featured a variety of local businesses and vendors as well as raffles, a DJ, food and more. Champa Bay Sports was right at home at this event as every brand had direct ties to our local community. Ben founded Champa Bay Sports (Instagram) in 2021 and launched the Tampa-based company during the Stanley Cup finals. Within the first 3 months of operation and going viral on Instagram including the support of local business owners and community leaders, Ben and his team managed to produce 20 apparel designs, acquire 15 strategic partners, employ 8 full-time staff, set up an e-commerce store and organize 6 upcoming community events that will engage the community’s creative and cohesive nature.

Champa Bay Sports Director of Strategic Partnerships and Community Impact JJ Massaro told us, “It was a no brainer to get involved when Camp approached us about their anniversary event. They had a ton of local vendors, and it was very community centric which is what we are all about so there was a lot of synergy. Camp is such a staple in the Tampa community, so we were very happy to be involved.”
