BDO Thrives to Serve the Community! Learn About an Upcoming Event that Benefits our Youth
Cristina Hale

As an active member of the Tampa Bay community, Cristina Hale does her part to give back year round. In college Cristina served as a “Big Sister” for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Big Brothers Big Sisters offers one-to-one mentoring relationship support to the critical social and emotional development of our youth across America. Cristina now sits on the board of this organization and is helping bring awareness. She is passionate about this project.

As a former Big, and a current Board member for BBBS Tampa Bay, anything I can do to help bring awareness to this organization is a plus. Pair that with something very adventurous like rappelling down the side of a 17 story building in downtown Tampa and I couldn’t resist. Any support is much appreciated! I’d also welcome more rappelling buddies!”

The event will occur on March 6th and is known as “Over the Edge”. It is an annual event that encourages individuals to sign up as “edger’s” which involves rappelling down the side of the 17 story Hilton Hotel in downtown Tampa. Sounds fun right! “No rappelling or climbing experience is required for participants. The Over the Edge staff consists of professionals with an outstanding safety record who will provide the technical expertise, training and equipment needed to perform this event.

There are only 76 “Edger” or rappel spots available and are on a first come first serve basis.  By becoming an “Edger”, you are agreeing to raise a minimum of $1,500 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay and changing a child’s life forever!!”
