Brian is a Senior Manager at BDO with eight years of experience understanding client strategies, initiatives, processes and issues around IT controls, assurance and compliance. He graduated from the University of South Florida with his Master of Accountancy degree and is passionate to serve the Tampa community. His career has focused on serving constituents through a collaborative approach, fostering highly positive relationships among all stakeholders. His areas of focus include internal and external audits over information systems, including risk assessments and reviews over IT operational topics (e.g., asset management, data governance, database management, IT governance, social media, etc.), Financial Institutions Examination Council’s (FFIEC) IT examinations and public company Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits.
Brian provides services to clients in multiple industries, with a strong focus within the technology sector, including extensive experience performing pre-assessments and assessments on behalf of the Media Rating Council. This experience includes assisting organizations across the entire digital advertising landscape (e.g., ad servers, ad networks, data aggregators, data suppliers, demand- and supply-side platforms, measurement and analytics providers, social media organizations and census and sample-based verification providers).
Brian also has been involved in various advertising industry projects such as contributing to an IAB benchmarking study on the cost of corruption within the digital advertising supply chain, cited by AdAge, Forbes and the Wall Street Journal, and serving on working groups for the Media Rating Council and Trustworthy Accountability Group to further enhance industry standardization and practices.
