It has just been announced this month that a 252 Unit apartment community is to break ground within The Forum in Fort Myers, FL. The Forum Development is a master planned, mixed-use development located adjacent to I-75 that is comprised of retail, restaurants, residential, and office buildings. The architects for this project are Baker Barrios Architects. The general contractor named is CORE Construction and other partners include Johnson Engineering, Fletcher Fischer P.L. and Links Financial with financing provided by Mutual of Omaha Bank. The lead developer for this project is Mosaic Development, which is based in Ft. Myers and St. Petersburg. Incore Residential, a Ft. Myers based third party Management Company will manage the lease up and on-going operations of the property.
First occupancy is expected to occur during the first quarter of next year. The style of this community is modeled after West Indies architecture. The property has a focus on outdoor community relaxation, recreation and active gaming areas. The outdoor community contains a resort-style pool, with cabanas and a poolside outdoor kitchen and fireplace. The clubhouse will offer a fitness center furnished with cardio equipment, workout machines, free weights, and a fitness-on-demand room. Other amenities include two dog parks with exercise equipment and socialization opportunities. Keeping with the pet-friendly theme, Mosaic @ The Forum pet owners can keep their dogs uniquely clean through an innovative dog-wash station at the central clubhouse.
