Kris Young
Kris Young brings dedication, knowledge and an approachable leadership style to enhance the Tampa office projects. Young has a special interest in mentoring our next generation of emerging design professionals. As a Senior Project Architect, Young possesses a few decades of hands-on experience in all phases of architecture, from marketing through construction.
Young has been involved in creating spaces for a wide variety of commercial and residential project types. She enjoys practicing architecture by actively listening to clients and building team consensus through collaboration during design and construction. Kris Young became a registered architect in 1989 and is now licensed in two states. She received her architectural education at Kent State, and was fortunate to experience an Italian study session and European travels. Young’s Florida career began 26 years ago as an in-house designer for a drugstore and optical chain. She moved to a multi-office architectural firm for the next few decades, where she gained progressive experience in project types ranging from movie theaters, office parks, and higher education.
Frank Richarz
Frank Richarz is one of Baker Barrios newest Architects, receiving his Masters in Architecture from the University of South Florida. Richarz previously worked at a national Real Estate Development firm, designing and developing large multi-family projects and Class A office buildings! Frank Richarz’s knowledge of building types and his experience as a Revit instructor will be a valuable asset to the Baker Barrios team!
Mirna Pehar
Another USF Bull joined Baker Barrios as Structural Engineer, E.I.! Welcome Mirna Pehar! Pehar graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering in May 2012, and then completed a Master of Civil Engineering with a Concentration in Structural Engineering in December 2013. During graduate school, Pehar worked as a Project Management/Project Controls intern keeping track of schedules and budgets for smaller projects. Upon graduation she began working as a Structural Engineer performing steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation design of phosphate processing plants.
