Young has been involved in creating spaces for a wide variety of commercial and residential project types. She enjoys practicing architecture by actively listening to clients and building team consensus through collaboration during design and construction. Kris Young became a registered architect in 1989 and is now licensed in two states. She received her architectural education at Kent State, and was fortunate to experience an Italian study session and European travels. Young’s Florida career began 26 years ago as an in-house designer for a drugstore and optical chain. She moved to a multi-office architectural firm for the next few decades, where she gained progressive experience in project types ranging from movie theaters, office parks, and higher education.
