Zachary Abel, CEO and Founder of Socially Funded Returns to Elevate to Impact the Community

Zachary Abel, Founder and CEO of Socially Funded, was born and raised in Columbia, MD. He earned his Bachelor of Science, in Management Science and Information Systems, at Penn State. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he immediately set to work on collecting and selling memorabilia. Soon enough, Socially Funded was born.

Given the college friends, business connections, and amazing weather, he made the move to Tampa. The city’s large concentration of veterans also influenced his decision to make Tampa home. Abel’s father is a veteran and Abel always wanted to be part of a charitable organization that would give back to veteran causes.

With Tampa as home base, Abel was introduced to Fit4Truth–a Marine Core veteran-run charity that was looking for ways to fundraise. Until the Marine Core veteran was deployed back to Afghanistan, he both mentored and did business development for Abel. With the veteran’s help, Abel was prepared to get Socially Funded off the ground (2016) and get involved with numerous charities.

Abel has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities throughout Florida, including the Tampa area. He has worked with the American Lung Association, Florida Boys and Girls Club, Veteran’s Art Center Tampa Bay, Wounded Warriors Abilities Ranch, Florida Hospital, and Moffitt Foundation. He is passionate about the work he does at Socially Funded and looks forward to progressing his reach in the Tampa community. If you have an event that would benefit from an auction Zach is your go to man. Socially Funded can make your next silent auction worry-free and more profitable.
