Since its creation of the 5000 list in 1982, Inc. Magazine has distinguished its 5000 list as an editorial award for entrepreneurs throughout the United States.
The Inc. 5000 ranks companies by overall revenue growth over a three-year period. Companies are ranked according to the percentage growth of their annual revenue over three years.
Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $200 billion, and the companies on the list collectively generated 640,000 jobs over the past three years, or about 8% of all jobs created in the entire economy during that period.
