It was recently announced that Brad Ford, President of Trademark Metals Recycling, has been voted onto the Board of Directors for the Glazer Children’s Museum. This honorable position serves as recognition of the charitable work TMR does and the value they place on community involvement. TMR believes giving back to the community is a key component of what makes their business so successful.
Elevate, Inc. had a chance to talk to Mr. Ford about his recent successes and his views on community contribution.
What is Trademark Metals past history with the Children’s Museum?
Trademark Metals has supported the Glazer Children’s Museum for the last few years and most recently, Kelly and I served on the GCM Gala Host Committee. I thank Commissioner Sandy Murman for introducing Trademark to the GCM and look forward to serving on the board.
What other charitable organizations does Trademark Metals Associate with?
Trademark has a partnership with Shriner’s Hospital called Cans for a Cause, where the public can donate their recyclables to any Trademark Metals location and 100% of the proceeds go to benefit Shriner’s Hospital.
What importance does Trademark Metals place on community involvement?
Trademark Metals prides itself on being a good neighbor in the communities in which we operate. We work hand in hand with law enforcement, elected officials and community leaders to find opportunities to give back.
What is Trademark Metals advice to businesses thinking about dedicating time to charitable organizations?
Trademark highly recommends to other business that they get involved. There are numerous benefits to both TMR teammates and the community. The best advice we can give is to think creatively. There are many ways to give back that don’t involve simply writing a check. In many cases, the time that our teammates donate is much more valuable to the organizations we are involved with than the dollars we contribute.
Anyone can give back to his or her community. All it takes is creativity, passion, and determination to give back to those around you. TMR understands that sharing your successes with others in turn makes others successful. Visit Trademark Metals Recycling’s to learn more about their business and what makes them a critical part of the Tampa Bay community.
