TECO Line Streetcar Gears Up for Streetcar Fest 2017!

The time is approaching for Tampa to celebrate one of its most enduring icons, the TECO Line Streetcar System. For generations, the streetcar has been a fixture in Tampa and, once a year, the community comes together for a fun, family-oriented celebration known as Streetcar Fest.

Last year, attendees enjoyed free streetcar rides all day, stopping at Centennial Park Station for Cupcake Festival, Centro Ybor Station for Little Monsters Pumpkin Patch, and Dick Greco Plaza Station for live entertainment provided by Gasparilla Music Festival. Riders were even graced with balloon artists and an appearance by the restored historic Birney Streetcar. This year, we’re planning a Streetcar Fest that is even bigger and better.

This year, Streetcar Fest marks the 15th anniversary of the return of streetcars to Tampa. It will take place Saturday, October 21, and feature free rides all day, live music, and special offers from businesses along the streetcar line. The streetcar will take attendees along their 2.7 mile route to experience all the festivities in Ybor City, the Channel District, and Downtown Tampa. Businesses have an opportunity to sponsor Streetcar Fest at one of three sponsorship levels, ranging from $1,000 to $3,500.
