PLANT CITY, FL – Andrew Samuel, president, chief executive officer, and director of Sunshine Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: SBCP) and Sunshine Bank, is pleased to announce the opening of Sunshine Bank’s Downtown Orlando location at 111 North Magnolia Avenue, Suite 100. This office expands the company’s footprint to 12 locations, stretching along the I-4 corridor from Orlando to Tampa, and south to Sarasota. Sunshine Bank expects to open a full service branch at this location by end of first quarter 2016.

Thomas Chatmon, Executive Director of the Downtown Development Board, presented a proclamation from Mayor Buddy Dyer welcoming Sunshine Bank to Downtown Orlando and declaring February 16, 2016 as “Sunshine Bank Day.”
Sunshine Bank donated $500 to Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association. Legal Aid Society provides legal services for low-income residents and disadvantaged groups in Orlando and surrounding areas.
