Rojo Architectures Shares Newest Project: La Chateau Blanc

La Chateau Blanc is a new, 52,000 SF luxury estate nestled in the tranquil areas of Odessa in Tampa.

The master plan borrows from European renaissance site design and the formal French concept known as “garden a la franchise” with a strong sense of order originating from the home. The plan has been developed with long axial views and symmetry with a central axis that leads away from the home. The design radiates outward from the home and utilizes water elements to celebrate and reinforce the ordered nature of the plan. Every element of the site was incorporated as part of the choreographed experience of moving through a European estate.

The towering 3 story structure also borrows from European architectural massing but has been given a streamlined more modern look. The large expanses of glass curtain walls bring the gardens in and provide expansed views of the estate. Classic trim and architectural cornice complete the building design.

Elegant shades of white and black will be utilized for the home exterior. Interior spaces contain a grand salon, a wine cellar dining experience, 76’ of linear kitchen counter space nestled in a great family room. His and her offices, theater room, game room lounge and playroom complete the first floor. The building will host a grand master bedroom with his and her master bathrooms. 6 additional bedrooms and bathrooms are included. The most surprising feature of the home will be and third-floor lounge with an infinity-edge pool, and an ample outdoor deck. This level will be accessed by a dual glass elevator. Lounge will be equipped with an outdoor kitchen, a feature bar, dining areas and fire pit seating groups. There is a rooftop pool that will connect to ground pool by an oculus, a circular waterfall that will also allow light to come through from a circular glass-bottom floor at rooftop pool.

The interior experience will feature varied layers and textures. Large, decorative grills, magnum marble slabs on floors and walls, feature clad walls in unique materials, tinted glass, and large scale lighting will give warmth to the spaces. A series of custom millwork applications throughout, ceiling modern light coves, and custom clad clearstory columns will add depth and texture. All in a calm and serene palette of natural hues, rich tones, and a variety of metals.

Estimated construction time is 24 months, and home is expected to break ground second quarter of 2020. The project design team is lead by Terri White , Interior Designer for Terri White design. John Saldana, design principal for ROJO Architecture. Chris Anuszkiewicz, Landscape Architect for Placemaker Design Studio. Russell Ottenberg for PlanEng Engineering. Ryan Beckley, P.E. Senior Engineer for Master Consulting Engineering. The MEP Engineering team of Carl Baum, Taylor Rinaldi and Jason Brown for MES Engineering, and Rick Chafey for Red Rock Pools & Spas
