RGA Design’s Extraordinary Architecture Work for the Florida Aquarium

RGA Design is #HelpingOurCity with their partnership and architecture work at The Florida Aquarium. Over the years, RGA Design has completed multiple projects for the aquarium. Two of the most recent incredible renovation projects for The Florida Aquarium are the Moon Bay exhibit and the Splash Pad.

The Moon Bay exhibit opened its doors to the public June 10th, 2019 as a Moon Jelly touch exhibit. This exhibit is only the fourth of its kind in North America! The unique 2,000-gallon habitat has two separate pools where the jellies can be touched. You can see the beautiful sea creatures up-close as they drift elegantly through the water with their bodies illuminated by the changing colored lights. While experiencing the beautiful sights, you can learn from The Florida Aquarium educators. You will hear about the importance of these jellies in the ecosystem and discover why moon jellies aren’t considered ‘jellyfish’.

The Splash Pad is a new rainforest-themed water park. While at the park, you can enjoy fantastic, froggy fun in the kids’ outdoor water play zone with both wet and dry play elements, sandboxes, lush landscaping and more! The zero-depth water area features water dump buckets, spray zones and a designated water play area.

Make sure to check out the Moon Bay Exhibit, Splash Pad, and some of the other projects RGA has designed at The Florida Aquarium, like the 4-D Theatre and Heart of the Sea.

“Over the years, our team at RGA Design has been privileged to help with a variety of architecture projects for The Florida Aquarium. We are honored to assist in the development and enhancement of The Florida Aquarium to the Tampa Bay community.” – William Henry
