The Lions Eye Institute for Transplant and Research (LEITR) is a nonprofit charity that is leading the fight against blinding eye disease by combining the resources of the world’s largest Eye Bank with the innovative technology of their Ocular Research Center. With over 40 years of service, they have helped bring the “Gift of Sight” to over 67,000 people.
There are over 45 million blind and visually impaired individuals throughout the world. It is Lions Eye Institute’s mission to improve their vision and quality of life. The Roar Through Ybor Race for Sight is just one of the ways LEITR creates awareness in the community! It is an opportunity for those who have been affected by eye disease or those who share a passion to end eye disease to come together and help make a difference together.
Runners and walkers will enjoy racing, music, fun medals and prizes awarded to race category winners and to those who raised the most money. Mark your calendars and head over to Ybor City to spend the day fighting for #EyeHealth with the Lions Eye Institute!
