As a Tampa-based edtech/fintech social enterprise, we leveraged our local community when we launched our groundbreaking platform Life Hub in late 2021. Our early partnerships with Friends of the Children, Academy Prep, and Boys & Girls Clubs enabled us to conduct a year-long pilot initiative and prove the social and economic impact of Life Hub through data-driven results.
With these organizations, we empowered young people to experientially learn:
- The power of earning and income generation.
- The value of money and wealth building.
- Entrepreneurship and career development.
- How to set goals and build a vision for their future.
Using our financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career/work-readiness (FLEC) platform, these youth became more aware of the many career possibilities and the path they need to take to achieve their goals while building self-esteem and confidence in managing money in a way that fosters personal discovery, identity, accountability, and sense of purpose.
The benefit of Life Hub does not stop with youth – the local community is lifted-up as well. Usage of Life Hub creates social value by improving youth education levels and household income which results in general economic prosperity as money flows back into businesses and the need for future government assistance recedes.
Today, our partnerships have grown beyond Tampa as we expand our reach throughout Florida with our early partners and with new partners such as Big Brother Big Sister, Police Athletic & Activities League, and other youth organizations and schools positioning us to impact up to 5 million children in Florida. We are also in the process of establishing a significant presence in New York, Texas, Oregon, Arkansas, and Tennessee as we roll-out our technology nationwide.
Our success in large part is attributable to a solid Board of Advisors that include local Tampa-based professionals including Aakash Patel, Jeff Allwood, and Curtis Parry along with generous sponsorships from local businesses that funded kids’ engagements on Life Hub – Dynasty Financial, Basic Engineering, and Unique Wealth.
