What better way to start your midweek!
Hillsborough County Tax Collector Nancy Millan was the featured speaker at the Centre Club Breakfast with an Executive event on Wednesday, July 16th. As a Hillsborough County native, Nancy brings deep local expertise to initiatives supporting one of the fastest-growing regions in the country. Imagine a world without road maintenance, law enforcement protection, funding for public schools, wildlife protection, parks, and playgrounds. Life as we know it would be chaos! This is where the tax funding collected by Nancy and her expanding team plays a critical role.
With 36 years in public service, Nancy is the driving force behind implementing accessibility, efficiency, and consumer-focused service for our community.
The Tax Collector’s Office provides vital services, including driver license services, property and business taxes, vehicle titles and registrations, birth certificates, and much more. Nancy emphasizes the importance of continuing to enhance accessibility of Tax Collector services to our growing community.
Things in the works include:
• Bringing services to MacDill Air Force Base to support our military community
• Launching the Mobile ID Go Bus—a branch office on wheels—to deliver essential services directly to the community and underserved areas (e.g., disaster recovery zones, hospitals, assisted living facilities)
• Introducing smart lockers and advanced technology solutions, allowing dealers to drop off and pick up title paperwork for faster, more efficient processing
These delivery improvements are designed to reduce waiting times and streamline transactions across the board.
Congratulations to Nancy Millan and the Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office on receiving the 2025 Governor’s Sterling Award for their commitment to excellence in customer service!
On behalf of Elevate and Elevate Clients (BayFirst National Bank, Ocean Rescue Alliance International, Shriners Children’s), and the local community, we deeply appreciate the work done by our Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office and are excited about the newly implemented initiatives.
