Meet Hanisha Patel, Market Leader at Pilot Bank!

Originally born in London, Hanisha Patel moved to the United States in 2004 after attending University of Bedfordshire. It was at the University of Bedfordshire where she obtained a BA Honors Degree in Business with Law as well as an MSc in E-Commerce Management.

Upon her move to the United States, Hanisha began working at Bank of America where she worked for the duration of eight years. She began her career as a teller and after 6 months, became an Assistant Manager and then a Banking Center Manager III within the following six months. Hanisha then was promoted as a Premier Client Manager within Bank of America’s Premier Banking and Investments Division where she found much success in surpassing goals where she was rewarded as top performing Client Manager with highest household deposit growth.

After achieving much success, in 2012 Hanisha had the opportunity to join Pilot Bank as a Market Leader at its South Tampa location. As a full service bank chartered in 1987 by the state of Florida, Pilot Bank provides retail, commercial, and investment services to individuals, businesses, and institutions within the Greater Tampa Bay Region. Additionally, Pilot Bank partners with National Aircraft Finance Company (NAFCO), which serves clients nationwide by providing concentrated and customized financing within non-commercial general aviation (such as helicopters or corporate planes).

As a Market Leader, Hanisha is responsible for overall profitability by directing sales and business development, meeting operational objectives, all the while ensuring that the banking center achieves its annual goals. As one of the top performers, Hanisha assists in creating value over time for Pilot Bank shareholders as well as exceeds deposit goals and loan growth. As a leader, Hanisha helps with associate development and engagement, ongoing coaching, as well as performance management. Hanisha is passionate about assisting her team in reaching great heights through consistent motivation and mentorship. Additionally, Market Leaders are responsible for building the bank’s presence within the community and enhancing business relationships. Hanisha quotes,

She is a member of Working Women of Tampa Bay as well as the Tampa Rotary where she is a recognized Paul Harris Fellow and sits on three committees. Hanisha is also a member of three chambers: the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce, the Indo-US Chamber where she holds a place on its Executive Committee. Hanisha has also been accepted into Pilot Bank’s Executive Forum, which contains over 200 members. This year Rita Lowman, Chief Operating Officer at Pilot Bank specifically selected Hanisha to attend Florida Bankers School. Additionally, Hanisha has gained media coverage when featured on That Business Show with Jamie Meloni.

Alongside her involvement within professional organizations, Hanisha regularly volunteers with Metropolitan Ministries, Paint Your Heart Out Tampa, and Making Strides. As a strong contributor to Making Strides, Pilot Bank set a goal to raise $5,000 for the cause. Rita Lowman has also selected Hanisha to be the chair in order to ensure that the goal is met. This volunteerism is one of the many ways why Hanisha loves working at Pilot Bank. She shares,

In her personal life, Hanisha lives with her husband and her three-year-old daughter in South Tampa. Hanisha loves to cook and be creative; her favorite meal to cook is curry. She is passionate about travelling and does so extensively. Hanisha’s favorite places she has visited are: Thailand, Africa, Argentina, Italy, France, and many times to India. Hanisha gracefully balances her personal life, professional development, volunteerism, and her role as a Market Leader.
