From Marshlands to Entrepreneurs: Florida’s Thriving Ecosystem

When we hear the terms Florida and ecosystem we conjure up images up coral reefs, swamps, and mangroves. There’s another, thriving ecosystem in our state and it will be on full display on March 28th and 29th: Florida’s entrepreneurial ecosystem will shine bright at the Synapse Innovation Summit. Taking placing at Amalie Arena, the event promises to connect innovators, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders from myriad industries.

AtRock & Synapse

Exploring and sharing in the opportunities and innovation will be the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Community Relations for AtRock Consulting, Ben Sever. Sever has immersed himself in the Summit. Not only will he exhibit AtRock’s services at the two day event, but he has also volunteered his time with the organization by assisting with marketing, internal logistical planning, and business development. The Tampa native was drawn to Synapse from the first time he heard co-founder Brian Kornfeld speak: “I instantly gravitated to Brian’s mission, which will bring Tampa’s innovation ecosystem to the next level. Thought-leaders like Brian and companies like Synapse are important to keeping crucial talent, such as veterans, technologists, new graduates, and entrepreneurs, in Tampa.” Drawing talent to the area is not enough; the bay area must work to retain the talent. Ben’s company, AtRock Consulting Group, has the perseverance, leadership, and stability to both draw and retain talent and he’s looking forward to sharing details about their services during the Summit. Sever added: “As an entrepreneur, I’m galvanized by Syanpse’s momentum. It will cause Fortune 500 companies, like Amgen, to confidently relocate to Tampa.”

AtRock will have a booth inside of Synapse’s vast exhibit hall. By vast, consider over 250 exhibitors. Given that, as of print, there are over 2,500 registered attendees, Sever’s opportunity to engage Summit-goers in conversations about how AtRock can help both organizations and individuals is huge. “Our services complement Tampa’s growing tech market. We also provide staffing, LinkedIn branding, resume editing, interview coaching and HR consulting,” explained Sever. With a large number of students, recent graduates, and entrepreneurs at the event, Synapse is the ideal context for AtRock to, beyond learn from others, grow its own reach.

Sever’s interests are not self-serving. In fact, he’s passionate about helping veterans transition into the workforce. He was instrumental in creating and funding the Veteran Scholarship Program at Project Transition USA. Part of the reason he believes in the power of Synapse is because it’s a non-profit: “Their mission is pure and will bring technology enthusiasts and thought-leaders together for the greater good,” he articulated. The event is sponsored by both locally and nationally recognized names such as Vinik’s Strategic Property Partners, Tesla, and IBM.

Sever, a self-proclaimed technology enthusiast, is prepared to soak up as much new technology information as possible. Beyond his own professional development, he’s eager for Synapse because he will advocate for Tampa’s tech future and AtRock’s services: “I have found that helping career-driven professionals within all sectors of the job-search is one of the most rewarding actions,” he expressed. The future waits for no one. It’s coming. The time to interact with Florida’s entrepreneurial ecosystem is here. And, after the Synapse Innovation Summit, ideas and partnerships will continue their forward motion. Join AtRock Consulting and Ben Sever at the Synapse Innovation Summit and start your journey.
