EWI Construction Hosts 2016 UT Tarpon Tournament!

If you missed it, on June 17th EWI Construction was proud to host the 2016 University of Tampa Tarpon Tournament!  The event kicked off at the University of Tampa Sword and Shield room where teams gathered to network and to hear from UT President Ronald Vaughn, who also participated in the event.  The EWI Construction Team managed to take home the 1st place trophy.  Runner ups were Kreher Architects followed by The Beck Group.

There were a total of 19 teams that participated in the tournament.  Teams were given a wide range of territory in which to freely fish in.  As the 1st place winner, EWI Construction caught two tarpon, weighing in at approximately 40 and 80 pounds.  Candace Moya, Director of Marketing at EWI, was responsible for catching both fish.

The University of Tampa Tarpon Tournament was created to fund the Athletic program at UT.  Proceeds were donated to the UT Athletic Scholarship fund to support college athletes.
