His company provides premium audit services to insurance carriers and managing general agencies (MGA’s) that write variable exposure-based policies such as workers comp, commercial auto, and general liability. The reason why audits are necessary is because policies are written based on estimates at policy inception. Audits are performed after a policy has expired to determine the actual exposure. With information obtained from the audit, a carrier is then able to properly adjust the premium for a business’ policy.
Unlike its competitors, Insurance Services Group of the South East is equipped to handle more complex scenarios. The reason is because two thirds of field staff and all quality assurance are previous employees of various insurance carriers. By coming from an insurance carrier, they have been more formally trained and educated about regulations and standards. Also with the knowledge they maintain, these employees are able to bring a unique perspective to Insurance Services of the Southeast.
