Chris has over 50 years of experience in the insurance industry holding Senior Management positions in several Florida Health Plans. His experience in the industry includes operational oversight of claims, medical underwriting, customer service, utilization management, marketing, sales, and network operations. He developed the Commercial Operations at Physicians Healthcare Plans which was a key factor in the company being recognized by the Wall Street Journal as the fastest growing company in Florida in 1996. As Senior Vice President of Operations for Freedom Health Plan, Chris was a part of the management team that founded Freedom Health in 2004 and contributed to its growth until Freedom was recently acquired by Anthem in 2018.

Being an eCosmos customer for over 10 years at Freedom Health Plan, eCosmos developed a software solution that is the cornerstone of Freedom’s over the counter program. They expanded their ability to provide solutions by handling complex claims calls from providers and providing eligibility verifications to the entire provider network of Freedom Health Plan.  eCosmos also provides web portal technical support to all of the providers in Freedom’s network and assists in supporting a key HEDIS (Health Effectiveness Data and Information Sets) measure by reminding all Freedom’s members to be compliant with their prescription programs.

In his personal time, you will find Chris with his family of two lovely grandchildren in the Citrus Park area. His hobbies include fitness, reading biographies, self-reflection and thrillers and enjoy watching the Tampa Bay Rays.
