DSK Law Group: Helping Our City Beyond Their Practice 

This past June, the attorneys of DSK Law’s Tampa office were hard at work both inside the office and out. In addition to their duties to their clients, the attorneys at DSK Law participated in a number of legal conferences not only as attendees but as speakers as well.

The first weekend of June was marked by DSK Law’s Special Counsel, Amber Ashton, attending the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar’s Annual Convention at the TradeWinds Resort on St. Pete Beach, where she was appointed to the position of Co-Vice Chair of the Real Property Litigation Committee. Later that week Amber had the honor of also being appointed as the Publications Liaison for the Real Property Problem Study Committee.

Tampa Office Managing Partner Bart Valdes and Associate Cameron Frye had the pleasure of attending the Florida Insurance Fraud Education Committee (FIFEC) Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida, where they were honored speakers for two lectures. These lectures were titled “Using the Right Tool the Right Way to Uncover Insurance Fraud” in addition to “Detecting Insurance Fraud in the Digital Age”.

Following FIFEC mid-June, Bart Valdes also attended the Florida Bar Convention and represented the firm at the Florida Bar Business Law Section meetings. In addition to serving on the Executive Council of the Business Law Section, he is also the Chairman of the E-Discovery and Digital Evidence Committee as well as the Co-Chair of the Section’s Task Force on Amendments to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure. During the Florida Bar Convention, Bart was horned to speak at three different Continuing Legal Education seminars to sold out rooms with lectures titled “Emerging Technology and Transformation in the Practice of Law in the Digital Age”, “Examining Where We Are Today and Looking Ahead in E-Discovery and Digital Evidence in the Face of Technology Advancements”, and lastly, “Essential CyberSecurity Controls And Tales From The Dark Web.”

Bart and his team aim to always stay in the know of what’s new and relevant in the law industry, and these conferences are no exception. They continue to #ElevateTampa with their continuous learning and dedication to their clients and community.
