Brandon Rotary welcomed Lisa B McLean, Public Defender for the 13th Judicial Circuit

The Brandon Rotary recently had the privilege of hosting Lisa B. McLean, Public Defender for the 13th Judicial Circuit, for an impactful and thought-provoking presentation on May 12th.

McLean shared an inside look at the vital work of the Public Defender’s Office and its role in upholding justice throughout Hillsborough County. She provided Rotarians and guests with a compelling overview of how her team delivers high-quality legal representation to individuals who cannot afford private counsel, while emphasizing the importance of protecting constitutional rights and ensuring fair treatment under the law.

Throughout her presentation, McLean highlighted the scale and scope of her office, one of the largest criminal defense firms in Hillsborough County and spoke to the dedication of the attorneys and staff who work tirelessly to serve the community. She also offered valuable insight into the complexities of criminal defense, illuminating the profound responsibility that comes with advocating for every individual who stands before the bar of justice.
