Cortland Partners, an Atlanta-based multifamily company purchased the 832-unit Camden Bayside Apartments in South Tampa located at 6301 S Westshore Blvd last year. With the help of Baker Barrios, and in an effort to reflect the local coastal environment, they rebranded the community Bowery Bayside and updated existing apartment facades and amenity spaces. In addition, Cortland Partners and Baker Barrios have teamed up on an exciting new, 6-story contemporary apartment community on the site’s northern parcel.
The new phase, which will have its own name and identity, will include a new six-story, 589-unit apartment community, including a structured parking garage with 954 parking spaces and electric car charging stations located on each floor. Both the apartment complex as well as the parking garage total over 1 million square feet of new construction. The apartments offered by Bowery Bayside and the new community will include contemporary styled one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes with a mix of both high-end and less expensive units. The new phase will feature resort-style amenities such as two large pools and 7,000 square feet of amenity space that includes a multi-leveled fitness center, a clubhouse with game rooms, and a 6th floor lounge overlooking Tampa Bay.
Baker Barrios worked closely with the owners to develop a project that would redefine Westshore Boulevard’s characteristics. The building will be a showcase for South Tampa’s streetscape as well as a landmark along Tampa’s water’s edge.
Bowery Bayside and this new phase represent a significant investment along Tampa’s waterfront, highlighting the beautiful, scenic views across the bay. This Development is yet another example of Tampa’s fast-growing expansion which Baker Barrios is proud to play a part!
