SUNSHINE BANK PROMOTES NICK THURSTON TO SVP, REGIONAL PRESIDENT OF EASTERN HILLSBOROUGH AND PASCO COUNTIES

PLANT CITY, FL – Andrew Samuel, president, chief executive officer, and director of Sunshine Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: SBCP) and Sunshine Bank, is pleased to announce the promotion of Nick Thurston as SVP, regional president of Eastern Hillsborough and Pasco Counties.  In his role, Thurston will be responsible for managing all operational and business development aspects of the region, including three business bankers and commercial relationship managers and five branch locations.

Thurston, with over 16 years of banking experience, has been with Sunshine Bank since July 2015 as VP, business banking manager.  Nick resides in Plant City with his family and is an active member of the local community.
