RenewIV: Even Better than Grandma’s Chicken Soup

When most of us think of IV drips, we conjure up images of illness, hospitals, and unpleasant pricking. That’s not the case at RenewIV—Tampa’s first IV wellness location. At Renew IV, the focus is on achieving wellness, in a serene environment, and reaching one’s optimum lifestyle. RenewIV was conceptualized and brought to life by Dr. Uhuru Smith. Elevate is excited to have RenewIV join its cadre of clients. Below, learn more about Dr. Smith, IV drip treatments, and the menu of services at Renew IV.

Dr. Uhuru Smith has had plenty of time to ponder IVs, as she is a board certified anesthesiologist who earned her medical degree at Georgetown University. Her residency in anesthesiology and critical care was completed at the University of Florida. Dr. Smith logs many hours in bay area operating rooms. She’s on staff at two hospitals and works with both pediatric and adult patients. The complexity of cases in her anesthesiology experience is broad. Since her undergraduate days at the University of Pennsylvania, she’s been interested in complementary and nutritional medicine. RenewIV enables Dr. Smith to marry her medical expertise and extending interests in order to help patients achieve improved wellness and an ongoing optimum lifestyle.

IV drip centers, like RenewIV, have grown in prominence over the last five years. Clients quickly realize that being hydrated from within, with a customized, vitamin infused IV, is more efficient and powerful than drinking a few glasses of water. Rehydration therapy isn’t just for hangovers, either. RenewIV caters to athletes, busy professionals, and people looking to boost wellness and fight aging. The medical knowledge Dr. Smith brings to RenewIV helps her design drips that target acute illnesses by focusing on hydration and bolstering the body’s natural defense mechanisms. Did you know that your body has a difficult time absorbing the vitamins you take orally? While the oral absorption rate of all those supplements lining your cabinet shelves is a feeble 20-30 percent, IV absorption is—wait for it—100%. Whether your mind is clouded from one too many frosés or the common cold, it’s clear that RenewIV drips are the solution for swift, enduring wellness.

Dr. Smith’s research mindset means that, while RenewIV currently offers four potent drips, more are in the works. RevitalIV, Chicken Soup, Fountain of Youth, and The Pro-Gram are hanging and ready. Drips are customizable and packages are available. Add on treatments include oxygen therapy and a B12 booster. The former helps with cell recovery and the latter with fatigue. If you’re wondering how long it takes to feel better, results are typically felt before you leave the office. Plus, they last a week to ten days! New clients should make an appointment so that they can get medical clearance from the physician or nurse practitioner. First visits are one hour and, for subsequent visits, plan on spending 45 minutes in Renew IV’s serene environment. Rest assured that IV insertion isn’t painful and the RenewIV team is comprised of experienced medical assistants who participate in ongoing education.

Many of us are overwhelmed by a hectic lifestyle, which leads to chronic dehydration and fatigue. Let Dr. Uhuru Smith and the RenewIV team overwhelm your cells with nutrients. Hydrate, heal, and achieve optimum health with RenewIV.
