This past Friday, a group of individuals from across the Tampa Bay area from St. Petersburg to Lutz gathered for their monthly coffee to discuss the issue on everyone’s mind these days: how do we help Tampa turn the corner? This series of coffee events, called Homebrew Hillsborough, has been working to connect people and create innovation right here at home.

Homebrew Hillsborough’s creators describe it as “monthly networking series that puts a human centered spin on Local Area Networking” that focuses on tech professionals. Sponsored by the county’s Economic Development Innovation Initiative (EDI2), everyone in attendance introduces their business, listens to a speaker, and (hopefully) forms relationships to support Tampa and their businesses.
