CEO, John F. Graduates from Leadership Tampa Bay

On Thursday, July 29th– John Flanagan proudly graduated from Leadership Tampa Bay! The class of 2021 began in January with a retreat at Saddlebrook. Due to COVID-19 the program was condensed due to a late start which meant individuals had to be more dedicated than ever. For seven months the students toured Tampa and learned in depth about the city. As a non-profit organization CareerSource Tampa Bay is fully dedicated to our community. John shared that he established connections throughout the term that will last a lifetime and he learned about programs and businesses that he never knew was available in this region. In January of 2019 John took the position as the CEO of CareerSource Tampa Bay and immediately changed the mission statement to, “Connecting Talent to Opportunity.” John previously worked in the corporate world and was very successful though he was lacking fulfillment and passion which is why he made the transition.

“I am so thrilled to say I was part of Leadership Tampa Bay and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this program,” said CareerSource Tampa Bay CEO John Flanagan.  “It would have taken me years to have met the leaders, businesses and officials that I did in one year participating in Tampa Bay’s regional leadership program.  I have learned so much about this wonderful community, this gave me a tremendous appreciation for the entire Tampa Bay community”, stated John.
