On Friday, May 27, Dr. Kevin Sneed, Dean of University of South Florida’s College of Pharmacy provided a tour to Alpesh Patel, President of Benzer Pharmacy. Having been created in 2007, The University of South Florida’s Doctor of Pharmacy program is relatively new. USF College of Pharmacy’s-mission is to revolutionize health by the creation of patient centered healthcare through education, research, and service. The college interconnects education, culture, research abilities, and existing clinical resources currently in place, to provide the pharmacy program with a massive advantage. Furthermore, USF College of Pharmacy focuses on the empowerment of students, professionals, and patients as catalysts for change at all levels of health.
Benzer Pharmacy is a chain of independent retail and specialty pharmacies. There are currently eleven stores in the Tampa Bay region alone, and a total of fifty-five locations within nine states.
