Aakash Patel talks about Bosses for Babies during Café con Tampa

Aakash Patel, President of Elevate Inc. and Chair of the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County spoke with Bill Carlson about Bosses for Babies during Café con Tampa! Early childhood education is extremely important, and the organization strives to produce high-quality education for our youth which is why Bosses for Babies came together. Bosses for Babies is an initiative that brings together business champions for early childhood, highlighting the many ways companies can make an impact and inspiring others to take action. These Bosses understand that investing in young children and families is an investment both in their bottom line and in community prosperity.

“To build a better society it starts with early learning” expressed Aakash Patel.

Aakash expresses how Bosses for Babies needs business leaders to advocate for the children and to simply start the conversations about childhood learning as well as volunteer any time they can or make donations. VPK is a program funded by the state of Florida and Florida was one of the first states in the country to offer free prekindergarten for all 4-year-olds regardless of family income. The Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program (VPK) prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child’s development. Without VPK our students would not be as prepared to enter grade school.

For anyone looking to get involved it is key to know that for every dollar you invest in early learning you get eight dollars back which is a high step forward. The investment of early learning is required for a high quality of life. Manty childcare facilities will not survive without the assistance from the community.
