There’s not many people like Aakash Patel, just ask the local newspapers. Dubbed as a “master networker” of the Tampa Bay area, Aakash is the founder and President of Elevate, Inc., a business consulting firm in the region. Aakash recently appeared on That Business Show with Jamie Meloni on 1250 WHNZ, Impact Radio on Thursday, May 21st.
In the first half of the show, Aakash talked about how he got started networking, and how it led him to a career in business consulting, including his trending #TampaHasSwagger hashtag campaign. He explained the usefulness of hashtags, both in helping track the reach a business has and generating awareness and interest online. Because it was Thursday, Charlie the Plumber, a local worker and Marine, joined Aakash and Jamie to talk about the issues of the day. Aakash worked with Charlie live to create a hashtag campaign for him, #AmericanPlumber, that Charlie could use on Twitter.
Jamie Meloni, an Elevate, Inc. client, has grown his radio show from once a week to a five day a week drive-time show, and his live-stream audience has more than doubled.
