Genuinely warm and friendly faces greeted me as I walked through the door into the Vein911 facility. The office did not look like an ordinary doctor’s office. The waiting room emulated a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere while maintaining a professional style. Shortly after my arrival, Dr. Chris Pittman and Nurse Pam showed me around the facility before allowing me to observe an Endovenous Laser Treatment.
The Endovenous Laser Treatment only lasted a mere 30 minutes! Dr. Pittman and Nurse Pam were entertaining and courteous to the patient while maintaining the highest level of professionalism! The treatment was quick and painless ending with great results. The most essential part of my visit was prior to observing the Endovenous Laser Treatment when Dr. Pittman educated me on the history of Vein911, their treatments and vein disease itself. Vein911’s purpose does not solely rely on the cosmetic eradication of veins, but their treatments can also lead to a healthier and more comfortable lifestyle.
Vein911 Patient, April Cortes, was recently featured in the First for Women Magazine. She discussed her journey beginning with a doctor prescribing her anti-depressants due to mental and physical exhaustion. Without knowing any of the benefits to vein treatments, she then opted for endovenous laser treatment to get rid of her bulging purple veins. After her venous insufficiency was treated, she had an amazing recovery and energy boost!
Venous insufficiency is described as “a leak in the attic causing a flood in the basement”, meaning that leaking vein valves result in pooling of blood in the lower legs producing numerous symptoms. Some of the symptoms that constantly go unnoticed are night cramps and restless legs, both of which can affect sleep quality, leading to exhaustion and fatigue. Other symptoms include aches, pains, heavy/tired legs, ankle swelling, ankle discoloration or rash, and in severe cases, ankle ulcers. The most shocking information I learned was that ALL of these symptoms might be present with or without varicose veins.
Hidden vein disease that cause restless legs or night cramps may interfere with a restful night’s sleep significantly impacting your overall well-being. Over 90% of patients with restless legs or night cramps make a full recovery after treatment, often with amazing results. Thankfully, hidden vein problems can easily be diagnosed by an ultrasound examination. Most people might believe that the costs of these treatments come from their own pockets, however, most insurances will cover vein treatments. Plus, these procedures only last 30-45 minutes and people may resume normal activities as soon as possible! If you or someone you know is experiencing these symptoms, it might be beneficial to get checked out! To my surprise, I found myself wondering about my own vein care.
